Canada Post

Canada Post is built for a country where distance is the whole problem, so its value is in reaching ordinary addresses across a very spread-out map. By our assessment, it does the basic postal job well: letters, parcels, post offices and the national delivery network that most people think of first. The cost of that job is distance itself, because a postal service covering remote and urban areas cannot feel as nimble as a local courier. In practice it means mailing labels, counter service, parcel tracking and delivery rounds that are more about coverage than speed. It sits in the classic postal lane, not the premium courier lane, and that distinction matters. Canada Post is the one to reach for when coverage is the point and the shipment is meant for the regular mail system.
