CME Group

CME Group is where futures, options, and other derivatives get traded, so it matters most to banks, hedgers, commodity players, and professional traders. By our assessment, its biggest strength is depth: it brings a lot of major markets into one place and gives price discovery a highly structured home. The downside is that this is a specialist venue with a steep learning curve, and most people will only ever see its effect indirectly through market prices and risk management. In practice it is less a public-facing brand than a piece of market infrastructure with serious reach. The Astrina catalogue records the United States for it.
