CLARK, JAMES

CLARK, JAMES is another personal-name company label that says who, not what. By our assessment, that can suit a professional service, a boutique consultancy, or any small operation built around one person’s name and reputation. The strength is clarity of ownership: the business sounds direct and human, not mass-produced. The downside is the same one most name-only companies have: nothing in the label tells a stranger the field, the product, or the scale. In practice it behaves like a sign on a door rather than an explanation, so the name does more work after the first contact than before it. Compared with a descriptive company name, it is leaner and more private.
