Box

Box is the cloud file platform for teams that need content storage, sharing and access control rather than a personal photo dump. By our assessment, it is strongest in business document management: folders, permissions, collaboration, sync and admin tools that fit companies and regulated workflows. The trade-off is that it is not the cheapest or simplest place to keep a casual pile of files, and some users will prefer a lighter consumer drive for everyday personal use. In practice Box feels more like workplace infrastructure than a private locker, with compliance and permissioning shaping the experience. It sits in the same broad field as Google Drive, Dropbox and Microsoft OneDrive, but leans harder into enterprise governance and content controls. Box is a US company, and that matches its long role in business cloud software.
