Bitfinex is for people who already think in order books, liquidity, and exchange interfaces, not for someone wanting the simplest possible first stop in crypto. By our assessment, its main strength is depth: it has long been known as a trading-focused crypto exchange with more advanced market features than the most basic retail apps. The downside is the same depth, because a busy exchange layout and a trading-first feel can be a lot if you only want a clean buy-and-hold screen. In practice it sits in the more serious end of crypto venues, closer to active traders than casual users, and that usually means more controls, more market detail, and more room to make a mistake. It is not a beginner toy, and it does not try to be one.
