Azul Brazilian Airlines

Azul Brazilian Airlines is an airline for people flying within Brazil and on a network built around domestic routes, regional cities, and a lot of point-to-point service. By our assessment, its appeal is the broad reach of that network and the practical use of smaller airports and city pairs that bigger flag carriers can overlook. The downside is familiar to any airline with a dense local map: schedules, fares, baggage rules, and connections can be less tidy than the marketing suggests. In practice it is all about timetables, airport counters, and the ordinary friction of getting from one Brazilian city to another. Azul sits in the mainstream of Brazilian commercial aviation rather than in the luxury end, and it matters most when the route map is the point. Travelers who want simple long-haul glamour are not really its audience, but people moving around Brazil may find the coverage more important than the polish. The country name in its title leaves little doubt what market it is built around.
