Australia Post

Australia Post has to serve a country that is huge, urban in places, and very remote in others, so its job is less about polish than about reach. By our assessment, it is strong at the everyday postal basics: letters, parcels, retail post offices, parcel lockers and the national delivery spine that keeps those pieces together. The weakness is the familiar one for a sprawling postal network: long routes, mixed expectations and a service that can feel more bureaucratic than quick. In practice you notice the post office counter, the locker, the label and the delivery round before you notice anything fancy. It sits in the same broad field as Canada Post and other national operators, not in the same lane as express couriers with a premium feel. Australia Post is for routine sending and receiving across a very wide map, and the network itself is the main thing it sells.
