Ashuluk Firing Range

Ashuluk Firing Range is a military training and test site, not the sort of company name that suggests anything civilian. By our assessment, the value of a place like this is plain enough: it gives armed forces room for live-fire practice, weapons testing, and the hard, unglamorous work of training under controlled conditions. The trade-off is equally plain, because a firing range is a constrained, restricted environment with obvious safety and access limits. In practice it means noise, exclusion zones, strict procedures, and a use that is very specific rather than broadly public. Compared with an ordinary industrial site or an office business, Ashuluk Firing Range belongs to the defence category first and everything else second.
