Armed Forces General Staff

Armed Forces General Staff is a military command body, the sort that coordinates planning, orders, staffing, and operational control rather than doing the front-line fighting itself. By our assessment, that makes it important for structure and continuity: it is where strategy turns into instructions that can actually be carried out. The trade-off is obvious in any general staff, including this one as a category of institution: it can seem remote, formal, and heavily dependent on hierarchy and paperwork. In practice such a body works through memos, briefings, chains of command, and constant coordination with other branches. It stands apart from a field unit because it shapes the whole system instead of acting inside one battlefield moment. The name already tells you the job, and the real test is whether that chain of command stays clear when pressure rises.
