Al Qaeda

Al Qaeda is known as a militant network rather than a normal company, so the name points to an organisation built around violence and secrecy, not a business anyone would meet in ordinary commerce. By our assessment, that alone makes it impossible to treat as an ordinary brand or service. The practical problem is that there is no consumer-facing product to judge, only a political-military structure with a stark reputation for harm. It sits in the category of extremist organisations, far from the way people usually think about companies. The label is widely recognised, but the thing itself is not something to approach as a purchaser or customer, and the only honest rating here is the lowest non-accusatory one.
