Afghan Support Committee

Afghan Support Committee sounds like a relief body or advocacy group, and the name points straight at aid connected with Afghanistan. By our assessment, that makes it easy to read in principle but still rather generic in practice, because many committees can use that kind of wording. Its strength is obvious enough: it suggests direct support work, not a polished corporate identity. The limit is also obvious, since the name tells almost nothing about whether it focuses on humanitarian aid, fundraising, diaspora work, or something else. In use, that kind of label asks for extra checking before it becomes meaningful. It sits closer to a local or issue-based committee than to a broad charity brand, and the simplicity of the name is both its clarity and its weakness.
