Aeroméxico

Aeroméxico matters most as Mexico’s main full-service airline, especially for trips that need hub connections, baggage and a more conventional international network. By our assessment, its strength is that it gives the country a recognisable carrier with the reach and routines of a proper legacy airline, not just a domestic shuttle. The cost of that is familiar: full-service flying usually means more rules, more fare classes and a ticket that stops looking simple once the extras are added. In practice Aeroméxico feels like an airline for people who want the standard airline package and can live with the paperwork around it. It sits between low-cost rivals and the polished premium end of the market, which is exactly where many national carriers live. The name carries the weight of a hub airline, and the service model follows that rather than chasing the cheapest possible trip.
