AMERITAS INVESTMENTS CORP. is another formal investment-company name in the Ameritas group, and by our assessment it does the basic job of saying this is about investments and not everyday banking. That is enough for paperwork and internal sorting, but not enough to make the company feel distinct to a newcomer. The main strength is plainness: it sounds like the business it is attached to. The limit is that the name itself remains generic and corporate, so it does little to describe the actual service style or client experience. In practice, it reads like a filing-room label, which is useful in the right place and dull everywhere else.
