Shoah is built for viewers who can give it time, attention, and serious patience, because it asks for close listening rather than quick payoff. By our assessment, it is a documentary of unusual weight: long-form testimony, survivor memory, and plain speaking carry it almost entirely. Its great strength is that it refuses simplification and lets voices and memory do the work. The trade-off is obvious too: it is demanding, emotionally heavy, and not something to put on casually.
