Deli Ask

Deli Ask is a 2017 comedy, and the title suggests the kind of film that probably leans on feeling, relationships, and light comic timing. By our assessment, the best part of such a comedy is usually its easy pace and the way it keeps things moving without becoming heavy. The downside is that romantic or relationship comedy can feel familiar fast if the writing does not keep sharpening the jokes. In practice you get a film that is more about tone, chemistry, and conversational rhythm than about surprise. Compared with harder-edged comedy, it is softer; compared with drama, it is meant to stay lighter on its feet. Deli Ask belongs to the part of the genre where charm has to carry a lot of the work.
