Coherence is built for viewers who like a small cast, one dinner table, and a story that keeps slipping sideways without leaving the house. By our assessment, its real strength is the pressure it creates from almost nothing: ordinary conversation starts to feel unstable, and the film never needs big effects to get that across. The downside is that the lo-fi setup can feel plain if the central puzzle does not grab you early. In use, it is a tense, talking-heavy chamber mystery that rewards attention to tiny shifts in behaviour and detail. Against slicker science-fiction thrillers, it is rougher and far less polished, but also more intimate. Coherence suits people who enjoy puzzle-box stories and patient unease, and it is less for anyone who wants action or clear answers quickly.
