theBlu is a VR experience built for people who want to sit still and look around rather than chase objectives. By our assessment, its strongest point is the atmosphere: underwater scenes in VR can feel calm, enveloping, and surprisingly convincing when the headset does the work well. The trade-off is obvious too, because there is not much game structure here beyond exploration and spectacle, so anyone wanting progression, challenge, or replay depth will run out of road quickly. In practice it is the sort of thing you drift through, turning your head to watch light, fish, and sea life fill the space around you. Compared with fuller VR titles, it is more of a showcase than a game, and that is both its appeal and its ceiling; it asks for curiosity, not commitment.
