Zoonomaly

Zoonomaly stands out because it sounds like a horror game wrapped around a strange animal or zoo premise, and that odd premise is probably the whole attraction. By our assessment, games like this work when they lean into atmosphere, navigation, and the uneasy feeling of being in the wrong place, not when they try to be broad or polished. The drawback is that this kind of indie horror can be very narrow: once the setup is understood, the scare depends on how well the spaces, creatures, and pacing hold up. In practice it is the sort of game people pick for tension, wandering, and short bursts of nervous exploration rather than long systems or deep combat. Compared with larger horror titles, Zoonomaly would sit closer to a small premise-driven scare machine than to a full survival package. That makes it a reasonable reach for players who want a weird mood and a quick fright, and a poor fit for anyone looking for structure that lasts for many hours.
