Zombie Hunter: D-Day

Zombie Hunter: D-Day lives on a very familiar loop: move through undead-filled maps, shoot fast, and keep enough pressure on the horde that the screen does not flood. By our assessment, its appeal is mostly immediate and practical, because it gives you the plain satisfaction of clearing space and surviving another wave. The downside is that this kind of zombie shooter is crowded, so the game has to stand out through feel rather than through a fresh idea. In practice it is the sort of game that asks for quick reactions and a tolerance for repetition, with less interest in story than in the next fight. Against bigger zombie action games, it sounds more like an affordable, straightforward entry than a deep system. Zombie Hunter: D-Day makes sense for someone who wants simple undead shooting and nothing much beyond that, and it will not suit anyone looking for variety or strong narrative pull.
