The downside is the same thing: it can feel dense, slow, and deliberately punishing, especially if you want a cleaner modern interface. In play it is about maps, ranges, panic, and the quiet disaster of one bad decision becoming a long campaign problem. Compared with newer strategy games, it is closer to a strict remake of the old pressure than to a streamlined reboot. It suits people who enjoy methodical tactics and do not mind restarting from mistakes; for everyone else, its patience bill comes due quickly.
