XIII - Classic is a remake-style first-person shooter for players drawn to comic-book presentation, stealthy shooting, and the slightly throwback feel of the original XIII. By our assessment, its hook is the cel-shaded look and spy-story premise, which give it a clearer identity than a plain military shooter. The downside is that the style has always been a bigger part of the appeal than the underlying gunplay, so expectations matter. In practice it tends to live or die on whether you want that graphic-novel flavor around the action, because the mechanics alone are not what most people remember first.
