Written in the Sky

Written in the Sky is one of those titles that sounds poetic before you know what the game actually asks you to do. By our assessment, the name is doing more work than the reputation, because the safest thing to say is that it is an indie-style game whose appeal depends on mood, presentation, and whatever specific story or mechanic the player is there for. The problem with a thinly known game like this is that broad praise turns into guesswork fast, so the honest note is that there is not much public substance to lean on. In practice, that usually means a smaller project with a narrower audience and a lot resting on tone. It sits closer to other story-driven indie releases than to big genre pieces, and that makes its ceiling depend on execution. With so little firmly established in public view, the fair reading is cautious rather than loud.
