Worshippers of Cthulhu aims at the city-builder crowd that likes its management wrapped in cosmic dread rather than clean productivity. By our assessment, its main attraction is the theme: a cult, ritual pressure, and the idea of building while serving something far worse than a normal ruler. That can make the campaign feel distinct, because the horror is not just decoration but the frame for the decisions. The trade-off is that a theme-heavy builder can become more about checking systems than about surprise, so the mood has to do a lot of work. It sits apart from ordinary strategy games by leaning on Lovecraftian atmosphere, and it will make most sense for players who want their planning to feel cursed rather than efficient. If the setting matters less than the mechanics, the spell weakens fast.
