Worms Revolution

Worms Revolution keeps the old Worms idea of turn-based artillery and tiny battlefield chaos, so the basic loop is still about lining up shots, reading the terrain and ruining a rival team with one badly judged blast. By our assessment, it works best when the map shape matters and when the game lets the slapstick do the talking. The downside is that this branch of Worms can feel more like a familiar remix than a sharp new step, especially if someone wants the series at its most inventive. In practice it is the sort of game where a turn can take a while, because each move is part aiming puzzle and part comic accident. It sits with the classic Worms games rather than with fast action shooters, and the appeal is the slow little grin when a plan collapses in a proper cartoon way. If someone wants competitive tactics with jokes, this is the lane; if they want speed or novelty, it will feel thin.
