Wolfenstein: The New Order

Wolfenstein: The New Order keeps the older Wolfenstein idea of a loud, direct shooter and gives it a heavier, more human shape. By our assessment, its strength is the mix of brisk gunfights, stealthy first-pass levels and the way it keeps moving between firefights and quieter scenes without losing its grip. The downside is that it is still built on a fairly straightforward corridor-shooter structure, so the campaign has little interest in open-ended play or systems-heavy improvisation. In practice it feels immediate: grab cover, clear rooms, listen for enemy routes, then push forward again. Compared with many modern shooters, it is less about loot and build-crafting and more about momentum, spectacle and a fixed single-player campaign. It suits people who want a focused story shooter with real pace, and it will not do much for players who want a sandbox or multiplayer loop.
