Wetlands

Wetlands is a title that fits the slow, watchful side of strategy and simulation rather than fast action. By our assessment, the appeal is in managing a space where water, land and movement are the whole point, so the interest comes from systems and conditions instead of spectacle. That kind of design can be satisfying when the rules are clear, but it can also feel narrow if someone wants constant escalation or broad variety. In practice, it is the sort of game that rewards careful planning and a taste for reading the map before doing anything reckless. Wetlands belongs to a quieter corner of the genre, and it makes more sense for players who enjoy constrained problem-solving than for anyone chasing adrenaline.
