Welcome to the Game is built around pressure, secrecy, and the routine of clicking through dangerous online spaces while trying not to get caught. By our assessment, that setup is the strongest thing about it: the game immediately gives the player a sense of risk and unease instead of a safe puzzle box. Its main limitation is that the tension depends on repetition, so once the pattern is understood the shock fades. In practice it plays like a small survival-horror idea wrapped around computer screens and stealthy decision-making. It is not trying to be a broad action game or a story with a lot of room to roam. Welcome to the Game is the kind of thing people reach for when they want anxiety and cat-and-mouse play more than comfort.
