We Were Here Together is a co-op puzzle game built around split information: two players are separated, each sees different clues, and progress depends on talking clearly. By our assessment, that is its best idea and its main appeal, because the whole session becomes a test of note-taking, listening, and keeping track of odd symbols under pressure. The trade-off is obvious: if the pair does not communicate well, the game turns blunt and frustrating fast, and solo play is not the point. In practice it feels like a series of locked rooms, radios, codes, and small coordination problems rather than action. Compared with other co-op puzzle games, it leans harder on voice chat and shared patience than on twitch skill. It suits people who like being the other person’s eyes and ears, and it is less appealing if the idea of repeated back-and-forth descriptions already sounds tiring.
