We Were Here Forever

We Were Here Forever makes its point through co-op puzzles, not through combat or spectacle, and that is exactly why groups come to it. By our assessment, the series’ best trick is the constant split of information: one player sees one part of the solution, the other sees something different, and progress comes from talking clearly under pressure. The downside is that this style lives or dies on communication, so any weak link in the pair can make a puzzle feel stalled rather than clever. In practice it is a walkie-talkie game, full of descriptions, directions, and the small panic of not having the same view as your partner. It sits among communication-first co-op games rather than action adventures, and the name itself promises the persistent stuck-together feeling that defines it. We Were Here Forever is at its best when two people enjoy methodical problem-solving and can stay patient with each other.
