We Went Back is a short horror game built around repetition, looping spaces, and piecing together what changed each time the route runs again. By our assessment, that structure is the whole point: it gives the game a tense, stripped-down mood without needing a large cast or complicated systems. The downside is that the loop format can start to feel familiar quickly, especially if the scares do not land for you. In practice it is about moving carefully, watching for small shifts, and paying attention to the map of a place that refuses to stay still. It sits with compact indie horror rather than with big survival horror, and that smaller scale is exactly what it is trying to use.
