War Hospital

War Hospital is built around running a wartime field hospital, so the player is managing triage, scarce supplies, staff exhaustion, and the moral pressure of deciding who gets treated first. By our assessment, its main strength is that it aims at the medical side of war instead of the battlefield side, which gives the whole game a less familiar angle. That same idea also narrows it: if the hospital loop does not keep changing, the tension can become a routine of menus, waiting, and hard choices. In practice, it is more about management pressure than action, with a serious tone that keeps pulling attention back to shortages and consequences. It sits closer to management and survival games than to strategy games about commanding troops, and that difference matters. War Hospital is for players who want a grim systems game with a clear theme, not for anyone looking for combat as the main event.
