WWE 2K23

WWE 2K23 is at its best when it lets wrestling fans build a card, run matches, and chase the drama of entrances, reversals, and finishers. By our assessment, it sits comfortably inside the yearly WWE game line: a big licensed roster, lots of spectacle, and enough modes to keep people busy if they like the sport’s television style. The trade-off is familiar too, because these games can feel crowded with menus, unlocks, and systems layered on top of the ring action. In play it is part sports game and part toy box, with the real appeal coming from the rhythm of momentum swings rather than deep simulation. It is not trying to be a pure sports ruleset, and that is fine if the show matters more than realism. The ceiling is set by how much you enjoy WWE itself, since the whole package leans hard on that world.
