Vigor is the kind of shooter that slows the usual gunfight down and makes every move feel expensive, which is why survival-minded players keep coming back to it. By our assessment, its real strength is the post-apocalyptic scavenging loop: collect supplies, keep what you can carry, and decide when a fight is worth the risk. That also creates the main downside, because the tension can turn into caution and the pace can feel heavy if someone wants constant action. In practice it plays like a mix of looting, positioning, and brief deadly encounters, so every trip into a map has a little more nervousness than in a straight arena shooter. It sits apart from faster shooters by caring about extraction-style pressure and loss, not just aim.
