Vanquish

Vanquish is the rare shooter that cares as much about movement as aiming, built for players who like sliding, boosting, and snapping between cover while bullets fly. By our assessment, its standout strength is the speed of its combat: the suit boost and dodge-forward style make every fight feel like a controlled scramble instead of a slow firefight. The trade-off is that this pace can be unforgiving, and the game asks the player to keep up with constant motion rather than settle into safety. In practice it feels crisp, loud, and disciplined, with encounters that reward quick decisions more than cautious play. Compared with cover shooters that stop and start, Vanquish pushes the genre toward momentum and stylish aggression. Vanquish is for people who want their shooter fast, sharp, and a little demanding, and it never really pretends to be anything gentler.
