VERSUS SQUAD

VERSUS SQUAD sounds like a direct competitive game, and that is exactly the sort of thing its title promises: quick opposition, clear sides, and play built around fighting other players or teams. By our assessment, that kind of game lives or dies on crisp rules and readable action, because the whole point is to understand what is happening fast. The downside is that games built on constant versus pressure can feel thin if the modes and maps do not carry enough variety. In practice the appeal is usually in short rounds, repeated clashes, and learning how one loadout or tactic beats another. It sits in the crowded middle ground between casual team brawls and harder competitive shooters or arena games. VERSUS SQUAD is for people who want direct competition without much ceremony, and it has little reason to interest anyone looking for story or exploration.
