Unprompted

Unprompted seems built around talking, choosing, and watching a conversation branch, which makes it interesting for players who like games to behave like social systems instead of combat loops. By our assessment, that kind of game can be genuinely sharp when the writing is clear and the responses feel like they change the room, not just the next line. The obvious downside is that a dialogue-first game lives or dies on the quality of its text, and thin writing shows very quickly. In play, the pace is usually slower and more attentive than in action games, with the player reading people as much as menus. Compared with big choice-driven RPGs, it likely sits closer to an intimate conversation piece than to a sprawling adventure. Unprompted should appeal to people who enjoy consequences in speech and character pressure, while anyone wanting action or spectacle will probably find it too quiet.
