Universe Sandbox Legacy is the kind of physics toy people reach for when they want to poke stars, planets, and orbits instead of playing toward a win screen. By our assessment, its real strength is the sandbox itself: you can set up collisions, change masses, and watch gravity do the ugly work in a way that is both readable and entertaining. The downside is also the point, because there is no campaign pressure or story ladder to carry you forward; it depends on the player bringing curiosity. In use it feels like a space lab you can ruin on purpose, with a lot of sliding parameters and immediate visual feedback. It sits well below a full astronomy simulator and well above a mere screensaver, which is exactly the middle ground this kind of thing needs. Universe Sandbox Legacy is for tinkering, not for being guided, and that is where it stays.
