UnMetal

UnMetal runs on stealth, scripted absurdity, and the old Metal Gear habit of making a serious infiltration setup collapse into farce. By our assessment, its best quality is how clearly it knows the style it is borrowing: guards, sneaking routes, disguises, and the constant joke of a small operation pretending to be a big covert mission. The downside is that the comedy and references are the main attraction, so if that tone misses, the game has less left to lean on. In practice it is a stop-start stealth game with a lot of poking around, joke dialogue, and deliberate overstatement. It sits near spoof stealth games rather than serious tactical ones, and that difference matters because the loop is built to amuse more than to punish. UnMetal is a good pick for players who want infiltration with a grin, and a poor fit for anyone expecting a straight-faced military thriller.
