Two Worlds II HD

Two Worlds II HD is a fantasy role-playing game for players who want an old-school world with quests, loot, and a lot of wandering between fights. By our assessment, its main attraction is breadth rather than polish: there is a big fantasy map, character growth, and the usual open-ended structure that lets the game keep going in many directions. The cost of that ambition is a rougher finish, and the word HD does not change the fact that the underlying design belongs to an earlier era. In play it tends to feel busy rather than elegant, with systems that pile up faster than they are explained. It sits among budget-friendly open-world RPGs, and people who care more about scope than slickness will get more out of it than anyone looking for a modern coat of paint.
