By our assessment, its appeal is that it keeps the action loud and readable at the same time, so every run feels like a fresh scramble rather than a long campaign. The downside is also built in: the structure is deliberately repetitive, and if the loop does not click, there is not much story or world-building to lean on. In practice it feels like a compact roguelike shooter that cares more about movement, damage control, and quick adaptation than about polish in the usual sense.
