Tipping Point is a party-style trivia game built around a moving token-drop machine, so the whole point is the pressure of choosing which answer line to push through. By our assessment, it works best when a table wants quick turns, noisy guesses, and a bit of luck mixed into knowledge. The strength is the physical board itself: answers do not just sit on a card, they rattle down the slots and can tip a lead in a second. The downside is that the machine-driven format can feel repetitive once the novelty wears off, and the game leans more on broad trivia than deep strategy. In practice it plays fast, with little setup beyond loading the counters, and the tension comes from watching a marginal answer survive or fall. It sits closer to pub quiz television than to a clever deduction game, and that is the right place for it. The counters falling through the machine do most of the work.
