Tinyfolks

Tinyfolks asks for planning first and reflexes never, which is why it lands with players who enjoy compact strategy more than spectacle. By our assessment, its best trick is the way a small roster and a small scale can still support a lot of decision-making. That makes the battles feel brisk and readable, not buried under menus or endless systems. The cost is size: there is only so much room for complexity, story, or long-term variety before the format starts to show. In practice it gives the neat pressure of choosing upgrades, jobs, and party composition without a lot of wasted motion. Tinyfolks sits closer to a tidy tactics game than a sprawling RPG, and it stays honest about that smaller frame.
