Tin Can

Tin Can is a survival game that turns a broken escape pod into the whole problem, and it works because every system has to be watched as if it might fail next. By our assessment, its strongest idea is the panic of compartmentalised repair: oxygen, power, temperature, and damaged hardware all need attention, so the player spends a lot of time triaging rather than adventuring. The trade-off is that the play space is intentionally cramped, and the game can feel unforgiving when one overlooked fault snowballs into another. In practice it is a game of checking panels, learning what each alarm means, and managing a constant sense of pressure inside a very small shell. Compared with broader space survival games, Tin Can is less about exploration and more about staying alive in place. It suits people who like systems management under stress, and it is not for anyone who wants open-ended travel through space.
