Times and Galaxy

Times and Galaxy puts a reporter inside a spacefaring newspaper, and that unusual job is the whole hook. By our assessment, the best part is the workplace rhythm: chasing leads, talking to people, and turning odd encounters into a paper’s next story gives the game a strong sense of purpose. The downside is that this kind of adventure usually depends on whether its writing and satire click, because the structure is more about conversation and selection than puzzle-box challenge. In practice it should feel busy, humorous, and lightly procedural, with the player moving from one assignment to the next rather than wandering aimlessly. Compared with standard sci-fi adventures, it stands out by making journalism the engine instead of combat or exploration. That focus means it rewards curiosity about characters and situations more than raw reflexes. Times and Galaxy should work best for players who like narrative games with personality, and it will feel thin to anyone wanting hard puzzles or action.
