Time Wasters

Time Wasters is a run-and-upgrade shooter built for short sessions, where the point is to keep a ship alive, stack improvements, and watch the numbers snowball for as long as the run holds together. By our assessment, it is good at that immediate arcade pressure: quick choices, constant movement, and the pleasant pull of another upgrade right now. Its limit is also easy to see, because games like this live or die on how much the player enjoys repeating the same loop with different build paths. In practice it feels busy in a way that is more about chasing survival and upgrades than about careful aim or story. Compared with more elaborate roguelike shooters, Time Wasters sits on the lighter, faster end of the genre and does not try to be a deep tactical machine. It is for people who want a compact arcade loop and do not need much beyond that.
