Tiltagon

Tiltagon turns into a quick reflex puzzle about keeping a ball or token alive on a shifting hexagonal track. By our assessment, the appeal is the clean arcade loop: short runs, immediate failure, and a strong urge to try again when a jump comes a little too late. The downside is also baked into that simplicity, because once the pattern is understood there is not much room for variety. In play it feels sharp and tense, with most of the work happening in timing and nerve rather than in planning. Compared with fuller action games, Tiltagon is slimmer and more abstract, but that is exactly why it works. It is a good fit for short bursts and score-chasing, not for anyone looking for long progression or a lot of systems.
