The Testament of Sherlock Holmes is a detective adventure for people who want deductions, clue gathering, and a story built around reading scenes closely. By our assessment, its main strength is the Holmes fantasy itself: searching rooms, comparing evidence, and piecing together a case with a famous fictional investigator at the center. That kind of game works best when the player likes slow observation more than action, because the appeal comes from process rather than speed. The downside is that detective games can lean on trial-and-error or long stretches of backtracking, and this one sits in that tradition. In practice it is more about steady attention than clever reflexes, with each location asking the player to notice details and connect them. It sits in the adventure genre rather than the action field, and the title tells you exactly which side of Sherlock Holmes it wants to use.
