The Swindle

The Swindle is a heist game for people who like stealth, timing, and a plan that can fall apart fast. Its best trick is the way it makes every job feel like a quick, tense run through locks, patrols, and escape routes, with money and pressure always ticking together. By our assessment, it is good at turning simple controls into nervous little decisions. The downside is that its systems can feel unforgiving, because one bad move can undo a lot of careful setup, and the roguelike structure asks for repeated attempts. In practice it feels brisk and slippery, more about reading a space than fighting it. Compared with looser stealth games, it is harsher and more compact, and that suits players who enjoy risk, while people who want a relaxed burglary fantasy will bounce off it.
