The Stalin Subway

The Stalin Subway is an old-fashioned first-person shooter that leans on Soviet settings, corridors, and firefights more than on modern polish. By our assessment, its main appeal is the setting itself: it uses a very specific historical backdrop and turns it into a grim action game. The downside is that this kind of shooter can feel stiff and dated beside smoother contemporary FPS design, especially in movement and gunfeel. In practice it is a mix of corridor shooting, scripted tension, and a lot of atmosphere carrying the load. It sits as a niche historical shooter rather than a broad blockbuster FPS, and the title makes its political framing obvious from the start. The Stalin Subway is the sort of game people reach for out of curiosity about the premise, not because they expect a refined mechanics-first shooter.
