The Ship: Single Player

The Ship: Single Player takes the murder-mystery idea and bends it into a stealth hunt on a cruise ship, where you are trying to manage needs, stalk a target, and avoid becoming easy prey yourself. By our assessment, its best trick is the social sabotage loop: everyone looks like a passenger, but the game keeps pushing you to act like a hunter while keeping up appearances. The downside is that this format can feel awkward if you want clean action or a straight shooter, because the pace is slower and the rules are more finicky than they first seem. In practice it asks for patience, timing, and a willingness to read crowds rather than chase targets head-on. Compared with normal stealth games, it is stranger and more role-played, with less emphasis on polished combat and more on atmosphere and routine. The Ship: Single Player is for people who enjoy unusual stealth systems and can live with a game that is more about tension than momentum.
